Songblazers

What makes a circus a circus? Could it be the tent, the peanuts, the clowns, the people selling food in the aisles?

Cirque du Soleil has made a name for itself by being one of the pioneers in being an animal-free circus, paying main attention to being striking, dramatic, beautiful and reflective, with dream costumes, lights, acrobatics, juggling and music that, For a couple of hours, it transports you to a world full of magic that goes beyond dreams, as its slogan says.

Cirque du Soleil is synonymous with great production and I'm sure you've seen the ads for the show Songblazers, which is coming to our city at TPAC. But what separates this work from others? First, more musicians and vocalists appear in Songblazers than in any other Cirque du Soleil show, with 13 musical artists in the cast. But don't think they just sing; They also do stunts, act and much more!

Secondly, I want to mention the diversity of the cast: 29 artists and 21 crew members from 13 countries, communicating in more than 10 languages. Among them, the Spaniard is represented by Victoria Fernández, as wardrobe manager.

and Bruno Macaggi, as a juggler. They both kindly guided us behind the scenes and check out the interviews at the end of the article.

Songblazers tells the journey of a country music singer-songwriter, his growth, how his experiences serve as inspiration for his songs, loves, heartbreaks, fights, friendships, but above all personal growth, reminding us that life itself is what makes art something. staff.

Songblazers is special to Nashville. Being the city of music, the recognition given to the history of country music, the outfits with bangs, hats, boots and the always iconic Grand Ole Opry is important.

From "Tennessee Whiskey" to "Achy Breaky Heart", passing through classics like "Red Solo Cup", "Copperhead Road", "Blue Moon of Kentucky", "Hello Walls", "Working Man Blues", "Mule Skinner Blues" and my favorite "Man! I Feel Like a Woman". This work is a nostalgic walk to the songs that, whether you like it or not, you have heard when passing through our city.

Silks, chickens, trapezes, bulls, hats, lights, comedy, tension, juggling, acrobatics and lots and lots of music will make you fall in love with Cirque du Soleil, in what feels like magic, and especially with Nashville and its music.
