Welcome to the world of hair extensions, an industry led by professionals who offer a wide variety of methods and tools to help you achieve iconic looks and beautiful hair styles.
All those long, spectacular hairs we see on models and artists today are extensions, so perfect and long that it is almost impossible to detect them. A few years ago, they were so expensive that almost no one used them and they were almost impossible to find. You could only buy very shiny synthetic versions that you could tell were fake.
When choosing your extensions, make sure the hair is Remy and that the work is done by a professional, as they will recommend the ideal type of extensions for your hair and will teach you how to maintain them with proper care.
What are Remy extensions? The term Remy is used to refer to a premium quality of hair. It is a hair that keeps all its cuticle intact, with all its natural protein. It only undergoes a special process that allows it to maintain its shine and silkiness for up to 18 months. Below we will detail the most used ones.
Sewn-in Extensions:
These extensions are sewn into your hair using different techniques, they do not require any remover, which is why they are a preferred method by many professionals. They come in three different hair wefts:
Machine-Sewn Hair Wefts: These are thicker, giving instant volume and maximum body. They can be cut and adjusted to different sizes without shedding, making them easier to apply.
Hand-stitched wefts: These are thinner, the stitching is almost invisible, ideal for very fine hair. The only disadvantage is that they cannot be cut or adjusted because the hand-tied hair falls out.
Hybrid Wefts: These combine the best features of machine-sewn wefts and hand-tied wefts. What does that mean? The hybrid weft is thin and undetectable for easy layering, with no glue or mess. These wefts can be perfectly tailored to each client without damaging the integrity of the weft.
