Fine Hair

We cannot say for sure what causes more women to have thin hair after 40 or 50 years of age. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies, menopause, hormonal changes, poor blood microcirculation at the scalp level, hair aging, etc. However, with good care and proper styling we can look spectacular. Below are a couple of tips that have worked for many of my clients.

Proper Shampoo: Don't skimp when choosing a shampoo, because cheap ones are full of harsh cleansers and preservatives that affect your health. Choose a volumizing, strengthening and nourishing shampoo, made with natural products and peptides, and that is pH balanced.

Conditioner and masks: Many people with fine hair avoid conditioners and masks. Most conditioners are designed to detangle and masks are designed to moisturize. Comb your hair after shampooing with a coarse comb and apply the conditioner or mask wherever the comb will not go. Process for the required amount of time and rinse thoroughly.

Haircut: Fine hair is best with a style that adds volume, layers and texture. Pixies and shags are ideal. Don't be afraid of short styles; they're practical, stylish and never go out of style.

Color: Opt for light and highlight tones. Aside from the fact that light tones soften the features, they also give the impression of abundance. Don't neglect your roots, keep your gray hairs covered and your tone up to date.

Styling: Use a soft mousse for volume and dry shampoo that can be used on clean hair to give more flexibility. When drying, tilt your head downwards to give volume at the roots. Avoid heat tools and opt for rollers to avoid burning the ends.

Diet: To grow stronger and thicker hair, healthy fats and nutrient-rich foods are recommended. Key nutrients found in healthy fats can help stimulate hair growth and lead to stronger, healthier locks. Biotin and vitamin B7 are needed by the body to produce keratin, the main protein in hair. As a result, all biotin-rich supplements can have a positive impact on hair growth, particularly in people who have very low levels of biotin. Include superfoods like avocados, nuts, vegetables, and fruits in your diet to boost healthy fats.
