Entrepreneurship: Business Plan II

In this edition we will continue with two more elements of the business plan or business idea. Administration and marketing have already been mentioned, now we will continue with production and personnel, proposed by the Secretariat of Economic Development of the State of Mexico (SDM).



PRODUCTION


Production process . Raw materials, availability of capital and labor.


Product or service technology . Importance, selection and acquisition of technology, analysis of machinery and equipment technology, consideration of machinery and equipment factors, analysis of manufacturers' quotations, preparation of production bill of materials and tooling list.


Process flow diagrams . Machinery or equipment required in the operation, quantities to be produced, time and space to perform the activity, distance traveled/transported, selection of production methods and equipment, plant layout by area and space, inventory needs and personnel requirements.


Suppliers. Classification of raw materials and inputs, characteristics of raw materials, quantitative requirements of raw materials, current and long-term availability, location of raw materials, supply conditions and supplier evaluation criteria.


Operation. Space requirements, building layout, decision to build or purchase the building, general or specific location of the company, government licenses and procedures, implementation program and equipment investment.


STAFF


Recruitment and Selection of Personnel. Identification of personnel needs; recruitment and personnel selection guide.


Hiring. Operational policies and salary table.


Staff induction. To the company, to the staff and to the position.


Training. Identification of training needs and training program.


Performance evaluation. Types of evaluation, software, models and evaluation systems.
